For as long as he can remember, Reuben has been drawn to the outdoors. Growing up, he spent every spare hour outside — not on screens, but in soil. While other kids were inside, Reuben and his best mate would be out in their parents' gardens, pulling weeds, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and making a few quid from the neighbours in the process. What started as two boys with a lawnmower and a pair of shears turned into something deeper: a genuine love for watching things grow.
Those early years weren't just about pocket money. They shaped an instinct — a feel for how plants behave, how light falls across a garden through the seasons, and how a well-kept outdoor space can quietly transform the way people feel about their home.
That childhood curiosity never faded — it sharpened. Reuben developed a deep interest in nature, horticulture, and the architecture of outdoor spaces. He studied the way formal gardens balance structure with wildness, how great estates use scale and proportion, and why certain planting combinations just work. For Reuben, a garden isn't decoration. It's design — living, breathing design that changes with every season.
Reuben's dedication led him to one of the most prestigious grounds in the world: the All England Lawn Tennis Club, Wimbledon. Working at Wimbledon meant maintaining landscapes held to an extraordinary standard — where every blade of grass matters, every hedge line must be razor-sharp, and the presentation has to be flawless for a global audience. It was an experience that refined his craft and confirmed what he already knew: precision and care are everything.
